How did this “leadership” thing started for you? Why did you become a leader? Why did you decide to volunteer your time?

Bigger questions are:
What moves people in to action?
Why missionary people spend their life serving unchristian people?
Why pastors pastor churches?
Why deacons serve people?
Why youth leaders serve young people?
Why teachers teach sunday school?
Why people feed homeless?
Why people work in orphanages?
Why people organize rehab centers?

Frankly, I think the answer is more substantive than merely “to get a paycheck” because an astounding number of us are also pouring time and energy into roles and responsibilities that don’t pay a single dime.
